Maryland Electric Vehicle Charger Installation Rebate Renewed. Act Quickly as Funding is Limited!

Last week the Maryland Energy Association (MEA) announced that funding for its Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) Rebate Program is now available for the Fiscal Year 2021 (July 1, –June 30, 2021).

This program offers a rebate to individuals and businesses for costs incurred acquiring and/or installing EV chargers at home, offices, and commercial buildings. Between July 1, 2020–June 30, 2021, the rebate covers 40% of the costs of acquiring and installing an EVSE unit, or up to the following amounts:

Qualified EntityAmount
Residential$700
Commercial$4,000

The MEA’s rebate program is first-come, first-served and applications must be received by MEA within 6 months of the date the EVSE and installation costs were incurred.

While this program is great, EV owners must act quickly as funding is limited. Last year’s MEA EVSE rebate program ran out of funding in December (approximately midway through the fiscal year). Take advantage of this year’s MEA renewed rebate program by installing an electric vehicle charging system with us! We’re here to make the adoption of electric vehicles painless with with our all-inclusive residential and commercial EV charger installation packages.

This credit can be used alongside the federal tax credit, which provides 30% off of the cost of purchase and installation of EVSE charging stations. Learn more about EV tax credits and rebates here.
