Volvo has announced a major plan to move towards an electric future. By 2025 they aim for half of their sales to be fully electric and to have sold one million electrified cars. Furthermore, Volvo has committed that every new model launched from 2019 onwards will come with electric motors. While many of these will be plug-in hybrids, Volvo is clearly taking a stance that the future is electric!
To achieve these ambitious goals, Volvo will release a new fully electric model every year through 2025. You’ll see the first fully electric model, the XC40 Recharge, on the roads this year.
